Mozart, Mendelssohn, & Molinelli
The Camerata di Sant' Antonio, under the baton of music director Christopher Weber, presents music a three-part concert with something for everyone on Sunday, May 6th at 7:00 PM in St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church behind City Hall in downtown Buffalo. Our concert opens with the ever popular Eine Kleine Nachtmusik by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The music of fellow child prodigy Felix Mendelssohn is next in a performance of his youthful and melodic Sinfonia VII. In the final panel of our triptych, the Camerata is proud to present the United States premiere of Roberto Mollinelli's Twin Legends for Violoncello and String Orchestra. Cellist Feng Hew is our soloist in this rousing, virtuosic work that has flavors of jazz, Hollywood, and progressive rock. It's not to be missed.
Weather permitting, there will be champagne on the piazza before the concert and, as always, a reception in the church social hall afterward.
Advance tickets (17.00) are available by calling 854-2563, or at the door. Free off-street parking.
Until then, favor the flavor of the Camerata soloist with their new CD, Solisti di Camerata, available for just $13.00 & postage by calling St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church at 854-2563.
